3 yr: $609
4 yr: $814

7 yr: $1494

I don't believe that includes tire/wheel ... and I don't know how much wiggle room they have on the prices. I'd be interested to see what others have ...
thats a good price..mine wants 1850..Since you can buy the warranty later but not before the 2 years runs out I wonder if I can buy if from your dealer? Can you ask or tell me your or does any one know?

I won't be back down there until the 27th, but I can ask then. Keena is the name of the finance manager at Zion HD, and I'm sure she'll be glad to tell you the price. She handles those details. Here's the toll free phone number: 866-494-6643.

I think they just use the first name for their email, so try keena@zionhd.com as well.

Tell them "Carl" sent you ... it gets me a little bonus points (and sometimes an extra discount) when I makea referral.

Maybe I'm the one confused ... but it seems like folks are posting on the service plan as well as the warranty plan. I thought the original question was on extended warranty, so my prices were for the extended warranty.

For those that may be interested, I got a quote on a service plan. It would cover the first 6 service periods (1k, 5k, 10k, 15, 20k, and 25k) for $1650. I don't think that included the tire/wheel coverage, though.

Contact Jim Palmer @ Kutter HD in Wis. Great guy and dynamite prices. I don't have the # handy but you can goggle it. I got 5yr plus tire and wheel for 1199.00. My dealer couldn't come close.

You can buy from any Harley Dealer. It's cheaper if you buy it when you buy the bike new. You have to buy it before the original warranty runs out. I just bought mine. I shopped around in Tennessee and Georgia. I bought it where I have my bike serviced. They were a few dollars higher, But they have a excellent service dept. Just the roadside assistance part of the warranty would cost you 50 or 60 a year. Piece of mind

There is no such thing as an extended warranty for an HD motorcycle. The official term is extended service plan or esp. It extends the 2 yr manufacturer's "warranty" by providing coverage for everything under the warranty PLUS roadside service and other benefits not provided under the warranty (even during the first 2 years you get these added benefits if you purchase the esp).

There are several other benefits to getting the ESP during the first 90 days of bike ownership. All upgrades made to the bike (under the terms of the ESP) are also covered for the full period of the ESP. You do not need to purchase the ESP at the same dealership as the one you bought the bike.

In fact, I purchased my bike at one dealership and had all the upgrades done during the first 90 days and purchased my ESP from a different dealership that did the upgrade work. Since the work was done during the first 90 days, the ESP paperwork lists all those upgrades as being covered for the full period of the extended coverage. http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/C...p?locale=en_US

There's really no need to pay more than MSRP -20%. Dealer's that really want your business will sell it to you for MSRP-25% (that's what I got). You can even occassionally convince them to sell it for 30% off if your planning to do a bunch of upgrades with their shop and they need the work to keep the techs employed. The dealership still makes plenty of money even with a 30% discount off the MSRP prices I posted earlier.

Any "Service Plan" providing oil changes and other maintenance does not come from Harley. This is a local service plan to keep the owner from taking his service business to other dealers. Once they lock you into their service plan you really won't want to take advantage of specials offerred by other dealers since that "Service Plan" won't provide any coverage if you have your oil changed at a different dealership.

The ESP is an extended warranty, not a service plan.

I bought my bike locally, bought the ESP a week or so later through Tri-County H-D in Ohio.

I bought a extended warrenty for two years longer that standard warrenty and will reup when that comes to an end. I have had to use it once when they replaced the front tire.
It was $1100
