If they have your size in stock buy your gear from
http://heatedclothingoutlet.com/index.shtml Gerbing blem, and return center... sometime old stock... but with full electrical warranty
Another good place (when they have a sale) is
http://www.grandprixmotorsports.com/default.asp but no sales currently
Then there's
http://cozywinters.com/heated-clothing/
http://www.warmnsafe.com/
Tour Master Synergy is available everywhere

Expect to pay $100-200 for gloves, and a controller. Tour Master, comes with a off/low/med/high switch, everyone else requires a seperate purchase.

Each unit comes with a harness that attachs to the battery, as well as connecting cable from the harness to the gloves.

I ran the harness up the nose of my seat, and tuck it away during warm months. The cable TO the gloves, just runs up your jacket sleeves, and you never notice them.

The worse thing about buying heated gear, is the butt kicking, you give yourself for waiting.

Regarding "sizes" each site offers a sizing chart. the gear runs true to those charts

MY wife & I ride 2 up on our EGC, and I'm considering gloves & jacket liners for the both of us. Will the stock electrical system handle the load, or will I have to up-grade to a stronger altenator?

Check out the Warm and Safe Line great product and you will save some coin over the Gerbing and be just as happy.

I've been using the Harley heated gloves for 3 winters. The heated jacket liner for 2 winters. And last fall I got the heated pant liners. I don't have the temp controller that some have said is a must. Unless it's not really that cold, I would never even think about turning down the heat. Especially to my hands. My body gets the warmest, but when it's really cold, that's what I want. If it's not that cold and I get too warm, I use the built in temp controller...the on/off switch. Turn everything off until needed again. I have not spent the money for the auto temp controller, and probably won't. Everybody is different, so you could always try out whatever heated gear you get and see if you want to regulate the hear or not, before spending the extra money for the temp controller. For me, it is not a necessary item.

Long as you dont have a lot of extra electrical stuff on the Ultra you'll be fine with jacket, pants and gloves for both.

Warm and Safe is also made in the USA, unlike Gerbing's stuff*. The guy who runs Warm and Safe told me that Gerbing used to use his US-made heat trollers, then basically had the design copied and manufactured in China.

I have a question on this as well.. would the heated vest do fine under a leather coat? or would you suggest the heated jacket? i would like to have the gloves, and something for my body. and maybe even my legs..is these liners thin? so i could wear them over pants and under Chaps? im talking about the liners for the vest and pants.

The liners are thin and should be worn as close to the skin as possible, with just one layer of clothing under them (long johns, etc).

Having owned both, I recommend the jacket over the vest. It's much warmer.

I paid $30 for battery operated gloves, had them 2 years and couldn't be happier. I didn't like the idea of wires.
