Man you guys are frikken nuts, 7 k for an engagement ring, hell if you spend that kind of cash on a frikken ring she will think you have money. Mine cost 600 for hers and mine as I was very young and very very poor.Thinking back, I thought hell I dont need a ring why dont we just get her one and call it that. That was 25 + and a life time a go, I am happy and ask her every now and then if she wants a bigger ring and she says no. I bought her a nicer one when I got out of the Army and started making a decent living and she took it back. She is the cheap and responsible one in the marriage as you can tell. Hell she does not even complain too much about bikes or me hanging out til all hours of the night with my buds in Miami. I am wondering how much the wedding ring will cost you, looking like a CVO Ultra and a 1200 C.

Don't you realize what you've just done?! Hell, now I gotta find a way to keep my wife off the forum for a week. I mean...C'mon man hers only cost me $1500....if she reads this I am so screwed.
Seriously...congrats on your move and I wish all the best for the future.
You set the bar a little high for starters. 5, 10 , 15 , 20 , 25 year anniversary must outdo the 1st...so work hard and save now!!!!
No way. I dont play that game. This is the biggest jewelry purchase she will get from me.
I still have not decided when to give it to her. You guys have not been ring shopping in awhile. What I paid is average. I went to a place that was having 50% off sale, he was showing me a ring and I looked at the price tag and it was $36K. He said I could have it for $12K. I said ,put it back
Here is a picture of us at Wurstfest in Texas and in Cancun.
Oh shes a keeper..........Go luck with the wedding and life in general!! I hope you are as happy as me and my bride. 33 years this year and still in love. Oh my ring was 400.00 but that was a long time ago.
Guy I know that look on your face, I call it the perverbial "Deer in the headlights look". The question you have to ask yourseelf, is she worth a CVO Ultra and a 1200 C? Remember this is the last model year you will ever buy and you cant do maintenance or buff out the swirl marks. You can check the oil all you want though. If the answer is yes have at it. You are right, us old bastards havent done this since aluminum was a new metal alloy. Gool luck .
Congrats! I just got out of a marriage 6 months ago. I'm a free man now and enjoying every minute of it! I was only married for 2 years, but we were together for 6 years. Good luck!!!
you could have got a S&S crate motor for that--Congrats on the engagement-- QUOTE=brihvac;6025110]Unfortunately it was not on the bike. I just bought an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I figured we been together 3 years, lived together for 2. Im 36 and she's 29. Neither of us have kids or have been married; so I guess its time. Those things are EXPENSIVE. I could have bought her a nice Sportster for that money. I brought a jewelery professional with me (my Mom). I picked a center stone then a nice 18k white gold setting with diamonds. I dont know much about diamonds but my Mom made a big deal about the stones being an E and Si 1.
I sure hope this works out.[/QUOTE]
