The old laby bought me a set of Cyclesmiths 16" bagger apes for my 09 FLHX and have some questions.
1. Thinking of using one on the Namz's handlebar extension kits for the control wires. They are offered in 4", 8" 12" & 15". What length will I need?
2. Thinking about using Namz's Plug-n-Play wiring harness for the TBW extension. Anybody have any experiance with this product, good or bad?
3. What length clutch cable will I need?
4. What length brake cable will I need?
Can't wait to get them on, except for the foot of snow we are scheduled to get in Maine this weekend.
I just installed Ergo Bars on my '07 SG. I needed a +6" Clutch cable to route it like stock through the fairing. I used Russel Brake lines. 15" coming off the calipers. You will have to measure the upper. You will also need a compensator valve (junction). The stock lines are made in one piece. You will need Banjo fittings (3). The Calipers are 90 degree. The one at the brake housing is up to you depending on how you want to run the line. I used a straight, but you could also use a 45 degree.
I have 13" Cyclesmiths on my Glide and used +6 on all cables and didn't have to extend the wires. When I bought mine, I had a choice of 13" or 16". The cables for the 16" would have been +9 with a +6 on wire extenions.
