Any of them, the RG is ugly as hell though. Seriously the touring line of bikes are good for any riding except dirt and Motocross. I would just jump to an Ultra Limited and be done with it if, you will never need to upgrade from there.

Probably a Road King ,if you don't want a fairing. A RK will out handle a Fatboy or Heritage in the twisties...mostly because of the extra ground clearance. I've read a head to head review of a RK and a Heritage a few years back, can't remember which magazine,maybe American Iron...but the conclusion was the King won mainly because of the ground clearance. They also have a more comfortable ride.

Broad question, its like asking, WHICH HOOKER do ya think is best??? I suggest ya Try em all at a DEALER.Only you'll know which is best for you.( but ya can't go wrong with a ROAD GLIDE)

I agree any of them is a better tourer than a Soft tail. However as for a RG being ugly, I would have to say that it is in the eye of the beholder. All I ever see of my RG is the inner fairing. I could really care less what others think of its looks. If I concerned myself with others opinions, I would be a politician.

i like my 08 streetglide. it's got most of the stuff that the ultra has but it's the "cool" version of the electraglide. certainly not the geezer glide. to do it again it'd be a toss up between the roadglide and streetglide. i'm happy with my choice. it's up to you though, sit on each bike and find what fits you. heck, even a heritage softail might suit you.

a side note, as far as the roadglide being ugly, i don't think that at all. they are truly the most stealthy looking bike harley makes. i diggum.

I have spent quite a bit of time on all of the tourers, road king, heritage, electra glide and now road glide, each was a different ride. The easiest way to explain the difference is if you buy the rk or heritage, they both handle great, but you will eventually want a radio. The electra glide family can be setup to give the rider optimum wind protection and the road glide gives a better feel on the open road because of the frame mounted fairing, but you do tend to feel more wind on the rider. Night and day difference between the electra glide and road glide as far as handling.

Your local dealer will welcome your enquiry, I am sure! Go take a look. If you ride 2-up often, get one with a good touring seat and full height suspension and don't lower it, or you will not be much better off than with your softtail!
