I had a little project going and you all know how the easy things turn bad in a hurry. I broke a tap in the bracket that the rear pegs bolt to.
My question is can that bracket be removed from the bike without any problems. It look like it is just held on with two bolts and it will make it a lot simpler for me to get the broken tap out.
Here is a pic. You can see the broken tap in the bottom hole.
Thanks.
I would get the manual out, it looks like that braket is part of the suspension. may I ask why you were tapping that hole? Was it a Craftsman tap or HF? Did you predrill?
Good sugestions guy, but it is in a tight area with the rear exhaust on one side and the primary on the other and not alot of work room. It will be a lot easier if I can remove the bracket and work on the bench.
