Better check again -- for some time, Redwings have been made in China. There is good Chinese stuff and bad Chinese stuff. Sad state of affairs! (My Redwing steel toe MC boots were made in China!)
Regarding the zip-up Harley boot, the soles disintegrated on mine in record time -- this was the model with the Gore-Tex panels.

I only wear redwings also and from my understanding the original redwing boots and shoes are made in the U.S. but they have another brand they sell called worx and those are made in china.
Well I'll be double dipped in dog chit, tarred and feathered. The label inside the boot does say made in China!!!! Friggin live and learn. Have to post this in another post I started but I just checked the HD heated gloves I bought yesterday and they are also made in China. Guess I have another ride to take today. Good thing I have 5 HD dealerships within about a 60 mile ride.....
I have a couple pair and the last ones I bought, the soles are wearing very quickly. I paid full price as they are zip-ups as opposed to the pull-ups I already have besides the ones in the past. Anyone else experiencing the soles wearing quickly? And I only use them for riding, do not get off the bike and hike, whatever. Just wondering if the materials they are using as of late are sub standard.
They sound like Cimarrons...I have a pair now after wearing the Loggers for years...
These are my everyday shoe.
The Cimarrons are a lot softer sole and are wearing twice as fast than the Loggers...
I wear Red wing 2223 everyday. I have several pair from work and i wear them everywhere but work. They are very comfortable even with the steel toe. All those biker boots look fruity to me but hey, they work for some of you fellas.
Mine say Made In The USA.

I think that some of the older Red Wings might still be USA-made. Most of the new ones, though, are made in China. I have the heavy motorcycle boots with steel toes & Vibram soles. They seem well made, but are not USA made. So far, they've held up well.
It's hard to find much HD stuff made in the USA anymore, and other manufacturers are following suit. I just checked my Gerbing G3 gloves (the older ones - not the micro wire); you guessed it...made in China!
