Removing battery with security system.

Default Removing battery with security system.
Hope I can get a helping hand at this. I have made a couple of attempt's to remove the battery and both times the alarm goes off. When I disconnect the cable the alarm goes off. I would like to permantely disable the security but for now I just need to remove the battery. Any advise?

there is instructions for service override in the owners manual.

Sorry, don't have a security system but get a service manual. Otherwise you could possibly look at security system on the HD web site and see if the PDF tells you anything.

Turn the Ignition on and then off. Pull the Maxi-fuse from Maxi-fuse holder within 5 seconds after turning off ignition.

Hope this helps.

Sounds right - depending on the model year of your bike . . . Earlier don't have this whole Maxi-fuse concept.
