Yes the MO's are great pipes, I have heard them. But have you considered the Monster Rounds. Those I have not heard but myself just looking for a better than stock sound. The Monster Rounds may not be so drowning with a low tone at highway speed and they are allot cheaper. Basically the same pipe according to V&H rep. Cost difference is due to the oval shape versus round. Same guts in the two pipes.
I have an 09 RG with Fuelmoto package w/ Jackpot mufflers. A few months ago a friend gave me a set of MOs becuase he thought they were too quiet on his 09 CVO Ultra w/ cat.
I love the sound and looks of the MOs, and they are quiet. You can feel them in your chest at idle; impressive. They are probably quieter than the Jackpots at highway cruise. The problem with them is that because they are so deep they tend to hammer in my head at lower speeds. Another post used the term percussion and he may be referring to the same thing. I have only had them on for a few hundred miles, so I may just need to get used to them. The Jackpots have about the right volume, IMO, with good sound quality that is never annoying.
I am going to leave the MOs on mine for a while yet, but expect I will have my Jackpots back on eventually. I think they are hard to beat, especially for the price.
For the money, I would not purchase MOs but would choose one of the other quiet-ish slip-ons like Jackpots, Supertrapp SEs (which I understand are the old Screamin Eagles), or maybe Rush with smaller baffles. I think the Bub 7s look good and I think they are on the quiet side as well.
Love my MO's. Best looking slip on's out there IMO and good performers. Had a few 400+ mile days and they sound great, I think a few of the folks that complain about the drone have full coverage or half helmets? They will touch down shortly after the floorboards but keeping the shock pressure up helps a lot. I thought they were a bit too quiet when I first got them but after a while they opened up a bit and now they have the perfect deep rumble with out being too loud.

I must be missing something . granted MO's are not ear splitting loud but they are definely not quiet either . I had a set on my o5 and now my Ultra Limited got a brand new set as well . Granted I put the V&H Power Duals on the new ride. I haven't got to ride the bike yet but idlling it sounds great.
You are in New York run over to laconia surely someone will have a set on their bike there.
