similar thing happened to me. one of the spark plug wires wasn't seated all the way. just a suggestion.

When that happened to me, it was my ignition switch. Next time it happens, try and wiggle the switch and see if that's it.

The speedo and radio on my 2010 Limited have intermittently stopped working a few times. There were no codes after the first couple of episodes. Turned out that metal shavings coating the speed sensor.

Just an update, took off the fairing, seat, side bags & side covers, found nothing. Started it up & moved the wiring harnesses around & all was fine. Did find a broken mount for the fairing, will fix that this Saturday. Did have to replace my spark plugs, gas fouled them pulling it in & out of the shop. But that was not the problem that I had. Will have to look in the manual to see if there is anything that runs just the radio & the speedo lighting. They were the only thing that went out before the bike quit on me, and that was about 1-3 min.
