I've been searching and I can't find an answer. I just bought the security module for the bike and I know how to install it because of this forum. I also have a siren from Radio Shack and know how to install it (if I decide to).
The question, what triggers the siren? I assume it is not a proximity thing. Is it just movment of the bike off the jiffy stand, change in attitude or something else that will trigger it? Will trying to start it trigger it????
This forum is great. I really appreciate the help that I read.
On my 05', once activated with the key fob,
just a little movement of the bike makes the system chirp
a little bit but keep moving the bike and she goes off!
OR turn the **** over to start and she goes off instantly!
On my 08' ultra, once you turn the ignition off the bike will chirp and the lights will flash twice, setting automaticly. Just a little movement of the bike makes the system chirp and lights flash, keep moving the bike and she goes off! Walk up close to the bike with the bob in your pocket and it wil automaticly disarm.

Yup, same here.
You can adjust the sensitivity of the motion part as well, the instructions are in the owners manual.

i read that it chirps twice. mine only chirps once when it arms. is that right???
thanks!!!
My '09 Ultra does not chirp when the key is turned off or when the security system sets but if the bike is moved after the security system is arms, the siren will chirp a couple of times. If the ignition is turned on after the system is armed, it will do the same time.
