Never leave your bike near a tool box. Before you know it, your bike is in pieces.
The heads go out Monday for a little work. That will allow time to change out the jugs, pistons and put the TW6-6 cam in. Should be ready to go for Bike Week in Daytona.
You will enjoy the additional power. I went with the Andrews 54 cam which is very similar to the tw6. I did not do the heads but may go back later for some additional work. Fuel Moto changed the cams only on a 103 from the stock 255 to the tw6 and got an additional 30 hp and 20tq. View their dyno chart here in the touring forum.

Please show me the link where FM dyno'd a 103 w/255 cams and gained this amount of power. If you're referring to the Limited dyno numbers FM posted in the forum, the Limited does not come with 255 cams.
RDM, good luck with the build! It's gonna be a BLAST to ride and you will not be sorry for punching it out...............TRUST ME.
BTW, were your pistons down in the hole? Also, PM dawg and get the .pdf on the drill bit used to drill out the oil return holes to aid in reducing the blow-by since you have the rocker boxes off. Also, I'd go back with the stock pushrods if you were hesitant of doing so.
Take LOTS of pics and post.

Hi. Just a question about your heads is the combustion chamber the bath tub or full round style. I'm building a 04 ultra to a 103 and my orig. heads are tub style and the new 103 heads are the HTCC full round style, Just wondering if the later 96 engines went with the full round style right from the start.
Are you going to be able to do a right up like atrain68 did? It was really helpful. I want to do the 103 or 106 upgrade and seeing it in pictures helps a lot for me. I am marginally inclined but can do anything with pics and directions. Just a request...

I'm not sure that what your saying is correct, but if you can provide me with the spec's on the cam that comes in the limited 103, i would gladely eat my words. The 255 is the stock cam that comes in the 103. The stock limited puts out 102 ft lbs of torque. With your mods and the 255 your only puttin out 13 more pounds of torque than the stock eng. I would think that your pipes, breather and head gaskets would get you another 15 ft lbs of torque over a stock 103 with the 255cam. I will gladly eat my words if you have the specs.

You're gonna need some salt.
Not to take away from the thread here but do you HONESTLY think you could produce 30 more horsepower and 20ft/lbs of torque from a TW6-6 vs the equal offering 255 in a bike that you're just changing between these 2 cams?
C'mon. Keep up with us here.

Great choice with the TW6-6. Where did you send your heads? Nothing wrong with reinstalling the stock pushrods but "IF" you ever do decide to go with a more aggressive cam.....you'll be sorry you didn't go with adjustables. Best of luck on the build.
I put in my TW-7H's and the billet cam support plate this weekend, just waiting on my heads now........getting close.
FWIW, If he does decide to go with a more aggressive cam, the only additional task at hand would be cutting the stockers out. He STILL would have to adjust the adjustables with an "aggressive" cam change.
