Like others it took awhile for the Shark to grow on me. Now I love it the looks and the ride.
I have had my RG for two years with no issues. I have no plans on trading but I think the 2010 RG is the best looking touring bike in the line. It would not take much of a sell to get me to buy one.
The issue with the batwing brackets braking is an easy fix. In about a half hour I had the outer fairing off, a couple of angle iron pieces cut and a few holes drilled, and the outer fairing screwed back on. I will have to admit that I am one of the ones that look at the RG from the front and think it looks like a Goldwing. From the side it doesn’t look to bad. Being height challenged, I prefer the batwing, I was not comfortable on the RG. The only other issue with them is I don't have one of each.
Dang, coffee pot is empty, time for work, I like the Roadie.
I'll be picking up a 2010 RG Custom soon (as soon as I can decide between Denim & Vivid Black) & one of the trips planned is the road in LittleBear's Avatar. Thats a sweet drive through Utah
