So does this harness have to be attached in the middle of the fender where it will most likely rub again if I let too much air out? Or can I adhered to one side or the other? Is the harness even long enough to do that if I could?

I put in an aftermarket lowering kit (1") on my 2007 RoadGlide. At Sturgis this summer with the wife on the back, we hit a Big bump and shredded some of those wires. I've ordered the replacement (68772-06) harness and will try to rout it to the side of the fender so the problem doesn't happen again.
I did not remove the fender or rear tire. I put it on the jack and removed just the 2 lower shock bolts. Jacking the bike up dropped the rear wheel enough for clearance. Be careful the axle nut doesn't come to rest on your muffler, in my case a D & D FatCat.
As some of you may have seen by a previous post I made I recently did some work on the rear of my '08 FLHTC and while there discovered that the rear tailight harness which is attached to the underside of the rear fender was chewed out pretty bad by the tire when the bike was bottoming out badly.
I taped everything up and did the best I could but would like to replace the harness and do it right.
I go to my "trusty" dealer's parts guy and he informs me I have to buy basically the entire wiring harness and it's $588.00 ...
So I come back home and check the harness (from the underseat plug to the rear tailight) and get a part number #68772-06 which goes for $19.20!!
Now before I can believe this does anyone has or knows where can I get a diagram of the harness part #68772-08?
Greatly appreciated and maybe Dawg or Doc can help me on this one also.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/195048627554 I bougth this yesterday after this weeken the repaired harness was broken my left signal turn in a big bottoming during the weekend ride with wife. I ordered because there were noticed more damaged wires, so I will take action on this shortly, Hope you can find this part number on ebay, its not original, but shold work. Regards
