Its good seeing HD addressing this seat's issues but I am skeptical to it being 100% correct. From the looks of the picture the seat pan appears to based off the 08 pan which was flat but I am wondering they have addressed the foam quality that has been used in the factory seats or if they went with a firmer foam like used in the reach seats. I haven't seen one in person yet but I am sure it won't be long till we do.

So can I assume this newer lower seat will install with no issues on an 09 Ultra with exsisting adjustable backrest? Thanks

One of the guys at Chicago Harley in internet sales told me they have had some internal problems including some staffing issues. I ordered a lot of parts in early January--none of them were on CH's backorder list. It took one month for my parts to arrive. I was told a lot of January orders were not filled promptly but that they are now catching up.

I ordered my 08 in Feb and got it the end of April. Is the seat pan the same as the 09s and 10s? I don't need to be lower at 6-2 so that is not really an issue with me. Is this seat supposed to be more comfortable than the stock one on my 08? At the current price, it is hard to pass up regardless.

I haven't seen one yet but the 08 seats are the best seats compared to the 09/10 seats and it also has the better foam in them. In 09 the HD seats became real terds and the quality dropped off at least by 30% so knowing that I would have to say that anything "new" is being made using the same quality of foam.
