Dexron II for the last 30,000 in two different bikes. IMHO it works great and it's cheap. The syn stuff doesn't grab quite so good I noticed.

Type F ATF for last 5k. Seems fine.

Mobil 1 Syn ATF - Change every 10,000 miles - 20K so far without any issues - I have no problems with grabbing, slippage, etc.... I run Mob 1 gear oil in the trans and Mob 1 oil in the motor - changed every 5K.

Talk to any clutch people they will tell you to use ATF in primary drives.These fluids are designed to work with the clutch plates.Motor oils are not.

I started running ATF in primaries over 20 years ago with wet or dry plates and have had no problems.The biggest reason to run that was the cost of ATF vs. Primary lube.
