Do you know about the security system on the '07's?
This may apply to all of the factory security systems for the '07 models but I know that the Ultra Classic security system arms itself after you turn the ignition off and walk away from it and disarms itself when you approach the bike.
RE: Do you know about the security system on the '07's?
I can program my 06 to auto-arm. But yes, the 07s have a proximity feature so you don't have to push no stinkin' button. You do have to have the FOB on your bod somewhere. In fact I don't think the 07s hae a stinkin' button
If it works like it does on the 05+ Corvettes - it's all Dephi I think - then stand by for possible radio interence maybe disarming (or arming) your bike, and maybe draining your batery.
RE: Do you know about the security system on the '07's?
The HFSM (Hands Free Security Module) is an RF system, and the fobs MUST be programmed to the TSSM/Reciever for the system to function.
Each fob is specially numbered (Just like computer software) and has to be programmed by the dealer, along with the PIN.....
I have gotten to set up 6 MY07 bikes thus far, and it is a slick system....
Only downfall that I see (And experienced) is the potential for outside RF interference preventing the antenna (Located under the seat) from picking up the fob signal.

What a deal!
This is on all the security-system equipped '07s. My '07 FXDL has it but interestingly enough, when I took delivery last week, the dealer did not yet have the necessary software or hardware (scanner) to program the system. No big deal for me - I'll have it done at my 1k service. But there's more to the story. Check out this message I posted in the Dyna forum as part of my review of my '07 Low Rider.
