OK so I am trying to change my primary fluid. I had the right allen head wrench and there is no way that the dealer torqued that bolt to the proper specs. It wasn't moving and it is starting to get stripped. I know I will be getting a new plug now, but any ideas on how to remove this one?
How can that be, you can't overthighten that plug it will just keep screwing into the primery as it is a tapered thread, unless it's the new type with a shoulder and O ring but these too are only tightened up to the O ring.
What you can try is find a torx bit that you can lightly tap into the plug and then screw it out. Other than that drill it out but you will need to remove the cover.
Good luck.
If you still have some bite take a piece of ice and try to cool it down and then go for it. If that don't work, go to an auto parts store and get an "easy out". You'll need to drill a little hole, insert the easy out and twist till it comes out. It's easier than it sounds.
Well, thanks to some suggestions here I was able to remove the allen plug by hammering (lightly) in a torx 30 bit and it grabbed and backed the plug right out. I have now changed the primary fluid and used HD Formula+ in the primary. How do others put the fluid in? I used a funnel connected to a tube and put the tube in through the top of the opening. Now I also have my nice new derby cover installed.

On my 05 RKC, the primary drain plug is a torx 30.
I can't get my clutch inspection cover off without removing the passenger foot rest, so I pull off the primary chain inspection cover (T27), and pour the new fluid in through there. It takes a full bottle and I never have had a problem doing it that way with simply a long funnel.
Glad you got the drain plug out. Stuff like that is a major PITA.
