I hear ya. I grew up on Long Island, N.Y. during the great blizzard of '69 and '78. Yes it is interesting to watch the dumb a***** attempting to drive in the white stuff. I learned to ride a motorcycle in the snow in '72. I also got my Drivers license during the '78 blizzard! Snow does not faze me in the least!
Also for you Arm types..I was stationed at Ft. Riley, KS back in '81 - '83. If you were there then you know Custer hill. I used to sit at the top of the road that goes straight down from Custer Hill to the main highway (1st Div road, I think). I would sit at the top for hours watching drivers attempting to get down and up that hill. It was pretty amusing!

I've lived in Chicago just about my whole life and you get used to it, even though there still seem to be people that insist on driving too fast because they have 4 wheel drive! I lived in Virginia Beach for about six months when in the military and they had got about an inch of snow and shut the whole base down, the city, and just about half the state. It was so laughable!
If you think it's bad in VA, come down here to Baton Rouge when it snows, which fortunately is only about once every 10 years. I wouldn't go out on the streets when it's icy or snowy here if you paid me. I value my car and body too much for that.
Snow tires? What's that, a white tire?
Yeah I'm here in Fayetteville, NC from Philadelphia, PA. Its funny as Hell down here. They closed school early yesterday and sent people home from FT Bragg early. That was on the threat of snow. 2" shuts the whole town down. 2" up north won't even get you a school delay. lol

What's a snow day? I live in the NE Ohio Snow belt and recently received 4 foot of snow in 3 days. Schools did not close. Apparently we need more that 4 FEET to thinks about closing schools.
