tank badges

My bike an 08 vivid black. Is it to late to take off the tank badges since they have been on there so long now. Just dont want to take them off and there be big marks.

It depend's on how much time the bike has been in the sun, and how well it's been taken care of. I think if you keep it inside and waxed, you should be able to remove the badges and still have a uniform flow of the paint with no shading beause an 08 is still relatively new. You might have to use a cleaner/swirl mark remover of some kind, but it should be no problem.

It may also depend on how well you can remove the adhesive holding the tank badges in place. Take your time.

Dental floss em off, clean off the adhesive, and wax it. If it's not perfect and you want to re-install them, no big deal. Very easy fix.

use a hair dryer and take your time .I did my road king it looks way bettter.

removed mine from an 08 sb last night ditto on the hairdryer and dental floss. the remaining residue i was able to use extremley hot water and a rag to wipe off. then i used mguires x 20 swirl remover and cant tell they were ever there
