Not the best pic but it works great! they are out of the way and the LED is seen easy. Didnt want to spend the extra on a perm mount but 1/3 of the riding season I need heated gear and just got tired of the controller flopping around on my waist or chaps, pocket, gas tank, the exhaust the side covers LOL you get the idea. Install was slick and easy!!

I still have my Harley leather jacket from the late 70s. I have the dual controller and the leather pouch for it. The leather pouch has a clip on it that i just clip to the belt loop which is on the lower part of the jacket. It's easy to adjust and unhook from the bike from where i have it and i don't have to add anything to the bike.Easy on easy off.

That look slick!. I find that you really don't do much adjusting after it's set so that location would work great for me too. How/where do you plug the stuff into it?
Thanks,
John

I mounted mine on the dash directly opposite the CB input plug. Easy to reach, easy to see LED. Have to take a pic... I know, I know...

Granted, mine is a 'mounted' type controller, but I placed it in a spare switch on the dash.

Oh yeah, its way easy to reach them with normal length arms LOL. Its nice because they are out of the way just enough when the warm weather finally hits I don't have to STARE at them all the time, and they don't take up valuable real estate up top on the switch console. I have the plugs coming out from under the seat one on each side. This way when I'm not using them I can just tuck them back under there and no body sees anything.

Here are a couple of pics from my wife's FLHX (I've got the same set-up on my FLTR). I used a small 1" ball RAM mount on the bars & attach a short arm with a flat velcro-covered plate (1.5"x3"...I think). This way the adjusting ***** are directly in front of me, easy to see, reach & adjust. I added 3ft extension leads which run under the tank to the battery and the connections for my Gerbing gear pop-out at the nose of the seat. During the summer, I can pop-off the controller and tuck the wires under the seat until the fall. I can also use the 1" ball mount to hold a cup holder, my GPS, or another gizmo....pretty handy. I tried LOTS of different things, but like this set-up the best....by far.

KKarey, nice set up. Looks clean.

My biggest pet peeve thing is that all the accessory manufacturer's - go Straight for the "Prime Real Estate" of the 6" of free space on the handle bars. I try to keep as much away from taking up that space as possible so as not to feel crowded by GPS, Phone & iPod mounts.

I have the single controller even though I have a liner and gloves, but I've reconciled the fact that the liner gets warmer than the gloves and have been living with it. I do like your setup and am assuming you removed the switches from the housing of a standard dual controller and mounted them remotely. Right? Do you think they are relatively water resistant? Also, did you run the wires under the tank with the connector near the seat?

I have mine wired through the ACC switch, as there are times when even in the lowest setting the heat is too high, so I sometimes just toggle it off and on periodically.
