jgreg65 - I love that! If I had the bucks right now, I'd get the gerbing perm mount dual controller and do exactly what you did. That is perfect! Thanks for the pictures.
Not the best pic but it works great! they are out of the way and the LED is seen easy. Didnt want to spend the extra on a perm mount but 1/3 of the riding season I need heated gear and just got tired of the controller flopping around on my waist or chaps, pocket, gas tank, the exhaust the side covers LOL you get the idea. Install was slick and easy!!
This does look nice. Anybody also done this for the passengers position? If so, where did you put the controls? Pictures are always appreciated.
Actually I bought it apart already. The kit is expensive but IMO worth it. Very well put together and great instructions and EVERYTHING you need but a technician to install it. They have single and dual kits.
What do the little LED's do? do they get brighter the more you crank up the **** to give you an idea where the temp is set at or do they just turn on and off to remind you the power is on?
I have the dual heat troller velcroed to the flat underside of the left controls. Works perfectly and no problem adjusting while riding. Got the idea from the Gold Wing forums. The wires run under the tank console. Great to have heat controls for gloves and liner. Did not want permanent mount in case I upgrade my ride someday.

No sure I understand this. Is this on your handlebars?? Do you have a picture?

I have installed mine in the cover on the left side of the bike, below the seat. Did not have to route cable far and just put the output through the drivers backrest slot in the seat.
I carefully measured for the ***** and the LEDs and drilled for them. I then epoxyed it in place. Came out very clean. I think I had to slightly modify the top of the housing with a knife to allow the unit to penetrate the cover to give me enough sureface area of the **** shaft to be able to secure the *****.
