I also made my reservation in September (2009), thus I got "locked in" at those rates. I've stayed there in the past, its a nice/clean hotel and every room has an oceanview.

this is a nice place for the $$$ I'll be staying here also
My son was stationed @ Tyndall AFB and I visited him in October 2008 and stayed there; it was my 1st time in that part of Florida and I really enjoyed it. One thing I noticed was that it seemed like the only people that went there were from GA of Alabama. Not many northerners like myself.
My wife & I will be leaving Philadelphia on April 26th for the ride down; I think that I am going to try to avoid I95 (beyond SC) & I10. Especially since we have 3 full days before the rally starts. Any scenic routes through GA? Avoiding Atlanta?

you can get it for about 80 per night -- which is pretty good to be directly on the beach
Go to the main web-site and sign up for the Value Club (its free) that'll get you a discount card, it save you $13 per night.
