Posted this over on the road trips forum, too. I live in central Florida, so I go to Bike Week and Biketoberfest every year. Thinking about riding up to Thunder Beach for the spring rally. Anybody been to this one - and is it worth checking out?
I think its much better then Daytona. I go every year...its not as crowded as Bike week and Panama City Beach is just hard to beat. There are vendors and entertainment set-up from one end of the beaches to the other. I hope to retire and live there in the near future.

Gotta agree, I go twice a year and it's not a far ride for me and really quite nice. Been there and done the Daytona thing and just way to crowded for me anymore lol. PCB is nice and you'll enjoy it!
next to sturgis, its my favorite. I go every year. The wife loves the beach and the venues are great. Laid back and spread out nicely along the water front. It's a good way to start the spring riding season.
Different than Daytona. Better IMO. Great riding to the north. I'll be camping at Topsail Hill to the west.
Hey rdam - where is Topsail Hill. I am camping (RV) at St. Andrews State Park at PCB. Its really a nice campground and its right there. Check it out on the net.
I go every year, both spring and fall rally. Of course work is messing me up as we have an outing that same weekend, so I'll only be able to make Thursday night (unless I go down on Wednesday) and half day Friday before riding over to Pensacola. Oh well, it will still be fun. I do love Panama City. As everyone says, great venues, laid back, friendly town, and great places to eat.
