Would be lost without heel shifter. Just one of the many cool things I think of riding a Harley.
Had a metric before I bought my Harley in 07. Going back to toe shifting would make me feel like I was still riding it.

I use it. To me, it is part of riding a Harley. It did take me a bit of getting used to though. My first bike was a metric and only had the toe shifter. When i got the big boy bike, I figured that I needed to learn how to ride a like a big boy. I can see how it would get in the way of large feet.

My complaint with the stock shifter was that it forced my size 11 forward on the pad. The HD folding heel shifter solved that for me... I leave it in the folded back position (45 degree) and it works great... easily reached but leaves the footpad clear.

I use mine quite often. I did adjust the positions of both the heel and the toe shifer because of my big feet. Oh well .... at least I've been keeping them outta my mouth!
