Not me. I ride too many different bikes. I shift them all the same way. 1 down and 4/5 up.

used to race motocross and had other bikes with just a toe shifter. since having the rk w/the heal shifter, was a bit awkward at first...but i really like it now. i only have a 8 1/2 shoe size, so guess that helps. one other plus, when riding on the base with shined boots, doesnt mess the boots up!!!!

Never could figure out the whole heel shifter thing. To each his own I guess.

That's it exactly. As I've stated in previous posts, using the heal shifter simply didn't feel natural. I much prefer pulling up on the toe side than pushing down on the heal side for an upshift but that's just me. Another aspect of it is that my clod hopper riding boots didn't fit well between the toe and heal shifters. Since I wasn't using the heal shifter anyway, removing it offered me a noticeable improvement in foot room on the left side board. For me, that's all there is to it, but as you say, to each their own!

Ride Safe,
Steve R.

First mod I did on the RK took it off and put a chrome cover on the shaft. Second mod was the longer Kuryakin shift peg on the toe shifter. After all these years just used to the toe shifter
