I took mine off. I tried for awhile to get use to it and use it. I guess if i gave it more time it would have become 2nd nature to me, but old habits are hard to break!!
I had always used a heel shifter on all my other bikes. When I bought my first harley, the heel shifter was uncomfortable. (Too high) I bought an extended shift arm and replaced the rear arm and lowered it Works like a charm. LOVE IT!!!!!
Was going to take mine off the bike the day I got it, but figured I'd give it a try. Raised the toe shifter and lowered the heel shifter for comfort. Still do not get the heel shifter as I find it difficult raise the heel on my 13's then slide my foot back to shift. Feels more natural and controlled just moving my toes... Will keep on as I do use as a novelty from time to time.
