Same here, I use it all the time, just needed to move it up a smidge in front to clear my boots.

Use mine and love it.I have extended shift levers and floorboard spacers,makes for more room and easy shifting.

I use on occasion but not all the time. But one good funtion it serves that keeps me from removing it is that when starting from a stop it gives you a refferance of exactly were your foot belongs when your foot rest up against it.

The day I bought mine, the 1st thing I did is I went to the parts counter, bought a chrome end cap, rode home and pulled the heal shifter off, then went riding for the rest of the day.

Bought spacer when i picked up the bike removed heel shifter when I got home.

2009 FLHRC Black

Removed it the first day....size 14 boots and it was just in the way...

I didn't think I would like it at first but I've grown quite fond of it. I won't say it's any easier, just cool heeling another gear!! The only problem I have is getting my heel under it to down-shift!!
