I'm thinking of getting and MP3 Player to use on my bike and I have a couple questions.
Remember, I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to MP3 Players and using one on a
bike.
1. Not wanting to spend a whole lot of money on something I may or may not like,
can anyone recommend a good cheaper player that will do the job on my bike?
2. What kind and where can I get the cable that goes from the MP3 player to the
auxillary port on my unit?
Thanks,
Dano
It depends on what you would consider cheap. I bought a Microsoft Zune 16gb for $120. I LOVE IT!! It is the third player I have had and is hands down the best I have used (I dislike Apple with a passion) With that said, I also pay for their subscription bases service called Zune Pass.
IT IS A DEAL!! $14.95 per month......UNLIMITED downloads and you get to keep 10 songs per month (any you want). It's a great deal for all the music you can imagine. My father just recently bought one, he bought the Zune HD which is overkill, but it is VERY NICE!.
AS for the cable, any electronic store (Best Buy, Radio Shack) or even WalMart.
For the cheaper ones, check out Creative, they make a nice product as well but still not a Zune.
...... the patch cable can be bought most anywhere, Radio Shack, Walmart, computer/stereo store, etc. 24" is all ya need. Both ends of the cable look the same.
...... cheap Apple 'Shuffle' (i love Apple!) can be had for $25 bucks on eBay or $70 @ Sam's/Walmart. They run iTunes, which is a free download and so easy to use a GoldWing rider could do it. A 1g shuffle holds more than enuff tunes for a several hour ride
I just bought a Sony MP3 player, paid less than $100.00,holds over 2500 songs,I went with a 3' patch cord made by Monster Audio, best stuff available,I bought the MP3 chrome mount from leader motorcycle products, system works awesome,I also have the Biketronics 360watt amp and sony 300 watt 61/2" speakers, very LOUD and CLEAR even at 80 mph
