I have a 2012 Road King and surfed the web for hours and called Harley and can't find amber colored lights. I read through this thread. I looked up the Wagner 4415A then pulled my stock light out to look at the wiring. I guess I have to cut the plug from the bike and manually connect the bulb because it just won't plug in, correct? I don't know if I want to screw up the wiring. I also looked at the lens covers and they are 5" and my bulb is 4 1/2". Has anyone ordered the cover/film to see if it works? JP Cycles does not carry a lamp that fits my bike. A simple request for better lighting and a custom look is not so simple.
I really like the idea of these Cee Bailey light covers but they come in 4" and 5". My 2012 RKC seems to have 4 1/2" lights. Anybody know if these will work on my lights?
My 09 FLHP came with sealed beam clear lenses and when one of them died I replaced with an amber wagner version. The first on lasted about a week then died...
The dealer promptly replaced it and the new one treated me well on my 1,832 mile trip from the Seattle area to Lake Tahoe.
They're bright, definitely increase visibility, they run fine with my electrical system and don't generate excessive heat.I believe I paid $7 a bulb or less.
Also using the HD Independent Control Auxiliary Lamp Wire Harness Kit to keep them always on....high beams or low.
Get new light housings or rewire hacked up ends...either one possible with either solution. I believe the wagners are not as bright as original lights. By painting housing you keep the intensity but just change color
You want something to REALLY light up those mirrors and eyeballs? Go get you a pair of Wagner 4509 aircraft landing light bulbs and wire them in with larger wiring and a relay...and rewire your light switch to act independent of high beam/low beam. They are 100 watts, very powerful. All the amber bulbs do, in my opinion, is identify your bike out of all the other Real Bikers going down the road...handy when you're riding with someone, I'm not so sure they make your bike any more visible...if other folks think so, great, but I KNOW that I can weld with those bulbs! They are about $26 or more each, but when you consider that people are spending hundreds of dollars on high tech bulbs, they are cheap!
