Default back rest?

Is the Mustang back rest any good? Can a Harley adjustable back rest be used with a Mustang seat? Any thoughts on other kinds? Thanks in advance!

Yes. Mustang backrests are very good. No, HD backrest won't work with a Mustang.

I have the Mustang. It is excellent. I chose it over the HD because so many buyers complained about the HD pushing you forward and had to modify the bracket.

Once you ride with the Mustang backrest you will never ride without it again! I love mine, takes stress of your arms and back, specially if you ride without a windshield.

The answer is yes. I have on my bike a one piece Mustang seat with a Harley backrest.

I have the Harley adjustable backrest....was buying a 2010 Elect Classic and dealer had put it on....said I wanted the bike but not the backrest....dealer said no charge and showed how it is easily removed....said ok....now I love it because of its adjustability....

Have the Mustang and love it...it's indispensable as a matter of fact. Also have the Corbin and, while it's better than the usless HD backrest, it's not near as functionable/comfy as the Mustang.

Have heard good things about the HD Adjustable though. Doesn't work with Mustang solo or 2 up.

I have the HD adjustable too, I like it, but I have no idea how to easily remove it. That I need to learn.

I have the Mustang back rest and like everybody says its the bomb. Easy to adjust and it pivots in the lumbar region of you back so you can feel the whole pad.
