Default Rush Slip ons baffle size

One dealer told me I could put Rush slip ons with 1.75 inch baffles on without having to do any other upgrades. Another dealer said 2 inch with no problems. Do any of you have the 2 inch without changing anything else?

You should be able to put just slip ons on your scoot without having to do anything else. We've sold tons of 1.75 and 2.0 baffle size Rush pipes for customers without doing other mods.

Dawg is absolutely right, I went through all this and read a ton of post and talked to a bunch of dealer service guy's, and asked questions on this forum.. Here's how it goes...If you are satisfied with the power of your bike, but just want it to sound more like a harley, you can put Rush slipon's and go as high as 2" baffle without changing the mapping. 2" will be a little louder that 1 3/4" I had 2" baffles in my rush mufflers on the 09 I sold. The sound was great! I wanted a little more throttle response because I ride two up most of the time. so I did the stage1 Air Filter kit as well.
More air in, more air out, Better power and throttle response. I think they said you gain about 15 HP with both Air filter and Muffler's. Hope this helped!

It does help, thanks! Yes, the RK has plenty of power for me. I just graduated from an 800cc Suzuki so the throttle response and power is more than enough. I do want more rumble and just trying to decide now between the 1.75 and 2 inch. Some friends have 1.75 on their Softails and they sound plenty loud, but I've heard them on a Road King and didn't feel they were much louder than my stock. Decisions, decisions. Thanks!

There's a big difference in volume, as in internal space, between Softail and Road King mufflers.

I had Rush 2 inch slip ons on my 07 Fat Boy and they were farely loud. I have them on my 08 Road King and the bags deflect a lot of the noise from the rider. Friends riding behind me say they sound great. I did the stage one as well on the RK. Good luck and stay safe.

I've got the FuelMoto Package which cinsists of Rush Slash Down Mufflers, 2" baffles, SEAC Intake and PCV for $800. By far, The best choice I've made for my Ultra. Woke up my baby as the throttle's even more crispier and the sound's great.

Good Luck with your decision,

Thorey

I talked to a Tech at Rush yesterday, and he told me I could go as high as 2.5" w/out having to do any re-mapping of the bike, and keeping the stock Air Cleaner (no Stage1). 2010 Streetglide is what I have now. But, I think Im going to go with a 2". Also, go their website, they have a $50 credit called cash for crap. If your dealer isnt famiiar with it, he said just have them call Rush. There is a form you can print off of their website.

I ran the 2" baffle on my 08 Dyna for several thousand miles. I have the 2" baffle on my 09 SG with 9000 miles. My best friend is a Harley mechanic and both he and several dealers said the same thing. Up to 2" baffle with stock air cleaner is fine. Anything larger ( 2 1/2") would recommend a remap. Of course a high flow air cleaner added would also require a remap. As far as low end, I ride 2 up most of the time and have had no issues making the wife pucker up when I decide to twist the throttle.
