I havn't really thought much about either of these until reading this thread. It sounds like the buttons are cheaper and simple "lick-n-stick" and the housings are more expensive and more chance of being sorry you started the project on a Friday night with nice ride planned for Saturday.

Any comments on price or installation issues with either set-up? Thanks

Here's a vote for chrome housing and black buttons. Really like the contrast.

I saw my bike this weekend with the new chrome housing and chrome switches. I do like black switches better but I think I will leave the chrome switches for now. I don't think it looked too bad.

The switches are not a simple lick and stick. lol

+1 on chrome on chrome.. The black grips give me all the contrast I need.. but i like all the combos and the diversity keeps it all interesting.

Had chrome + chrome on my former Road King. Just did chrome housings + black switches on my Road Glide yesterday. Time for a change and matches the Kuryakyn Iso grips which have black pads peeking-out of the chrome grip.
