Not to me, but you are really the one that has to decide its "worth". Personally, knowing what I know now, I'd build my own 103" and take the leftover money and buy whatever tidbits I wanted (grips, gauges, etc....) JMHO and we all know what that's worth....
I think Road Hawg has the right idea. I had my '08 Ultra bored to 103", installed manual c/r's and the SE255 cam for around $1100.00. Already had True Duals, Ness Big Sucker and SERT. I've heard the Limited rides and handles better than my '08 but you can do a LOT to your scoot for the extra $4000.00.
It was for me. Engine, heated grips, tour pack rack, abs, security.... A friend of mine bought an Ultra the same day I signed for the Limited. He couldn't understand why I'd spend the extra, I can't understand why he didn't. To each his own.
Comparing a 2-tone Ultra to a 2-tone LTD (Apples-to-Apples) gives a $2700 price difference, not a "4 or 5K" difference...
Comparing a Black Ultra to a 2-tone LTD (Apples-to-Oranges) gives a $3700 price difference...
I agree with ltdan...
I guess if you've "got it", it's worth it...
The $4k - $5k difference is the difference between an Ultra and the Ultra LTD, not an UC and a LTD. So to me, the LTD is worth the money, especially between an 08 and a 10. That is, IF you can get the LTD at sticker. 'My' dealership typically sells the LTD's at $1k over MSRP and has been getting it (apparently). Goody for them I guess.
