i have the scala rider, on 3/4 helmet mounted on left side with clamp, on 1/2 helmet i ordered a xl boom set up $40.00 including shipping from Cardo using glue pad mount and ear pouches for speakers from H-D.
I love these things. My wife ordered them for me last Christmas and we have used them everytime we go on long trips. As long as she stays about 30ft from me,we even use them while she is on her own bike. I prefere the rubber mounts with sticky tape on back to the clamp on mounts. The clamp on just don't seem to hold as well due to the neck padding on the helmet. I have 4 helmets 2 full face and 2 1/2 helmets for me and the wife. I needed some more stick on type mounts and I could not find them anywhere online. I emailed the company and they send me 6 of them free of shipping and charge. This IS a stand up company,if you have ANY problems with this company just get in touch with them and they will back thier product more than most.
If you need anything else just let me know,oh yeah, make sure you have the VOX turned off if you are not wearing a full face shield,it tends to turn on by itself from the wind noise. Everything else is just great.
Dittos to what Juke box said on the co. being customer oriented.I needed another glue plate also and called the main U.S. distb. They sent me the whole kit, glue plate and boom mic assembly free of charge. The glue plates the only way to go imo, especially on a 1/2 helmet also the longer boom for the 1/2 helmet.
I have been using these for over a year and it is the best gadget I have come across.. I have just started using the G4 which is their newest set and it is excellent!
Had ours for about a year and love em! Mounted to the left side of the EXO 100s originally with the sticky pads, but ended up using a tiny flathead set screw once the glue started peeling back.
Not everyone! We hear nothing but wind noise! Contacted the company and had to argue with them. They finally agreed to replace the set and these aren't any better! Iwould advise against them!
I have been using mine approx 1 year as well. I like em. I don't use mine for anything other than communicating bike to bike either.
One piece of advise that can be frustrating if you have trouble, the item comes with two wind socks for the microphone. If you have a half helmet, make sure you use the right wind sock for the microphone or you will have too much wind noise (round one is correct one for this application I believe, but check the manual - it tells ya).
The other thing, once paired, it will sometimes "drop" but repairs somehow on it's own so just give it a chance before ya start pushing buttons. This happens usually after stopping for a period of time to eat or whatever.
