installing fly by wire grips

going to install my new avon grips on my 09 rg. is there anything or special procedure i need to be aware of while installing. instructions on installation really only address the left side and refer to owners manual for throttle side. only problem is service manual does not address installation of grips. any help appreciated!!!

Actually, they are very easy. No more cables! Throttle side will engage into a gear like piece on the new throttle assembly.

Unscrew the screws holding the top switch cap cover and open and push off to the side. Lift up on the grip to get the nub out of the groove that holds it into the switch cap. give a gentle, but firm tug and the grip is off. Put the new grip on ensuring that the gear in the bottom of the grip sets onto the cog and reverse the procedure.

Love my Avon grips bro! Actually, I already wore the first pair out (hint, clean hands THOROUGHLY after applying sunscreen!) and they sent me another pr under warranty. Great company. I love the look and the "tacky" feel of the rubber grips. Installation is a cinch with the TBW setup.

I installed a set of PM Renthal Grips this weekend. Less than 10 minutes.. Very easy....Here's a link to Kuryakyn for the TBW grip install.
