+1 A new tire made mine all better. On the other hand a one legged pygmy did fall off my fork baffle while the Voo Doo High Priestess danced around my bike waving a dead chicken.

I had a high speed wobble on my 2010 FLHTCUSES5 CVO. I am still in wheel chair. This happen on April 25 of this year. The bike was taken to HD shop where I got it for the 1000 mile check up. I told them about the wobble then and they said they could find nothing wrong with it. I had 2041 miles on it when it happen, straight road and yes both hands were on the bars. There was 5 other HD with me when it happen doing the same speed an none of them wobble. And yes we were speeding.

Victor-
First of all, I hope you're doing well, and continue to improve...You issue may or may not have been related to the same thing. I would encourage you (or your attorney) to look into the steering neck bearings, as HD issued a Service Bulletin (posted a little earlier on in this stream of posts) that you may want to reference as the root of your problem...Good luck and ride safe...

Regards,

Jim

Jim I read all the thread from the beginning. My bike was damaged to much to tell if damage was before the accident or after. Very good thread. It showed that I am not along as far as the wobble. I have wobble before but never like this.

Nope...that definitely ain't it...If you read all of the posts, you'll understand... The problem was a loose steering head bearing, and when away when it was tightened per the new Service Bulletin...The method for adjusting this bearing changed when the new frame came on the scene in '09...

Riding home from Sturgis I got the wobble in the 35 t0 45 mph range and it scared the crap out of me. I was keeping my hands on the bars after that encounter. Thanks for this post. Off to the dealer... Hopefully they'll fix it right the first time!

Default 2010 Roadie Wobble

Don't you get tired of all the blind Harley support that gets spewed on the internet? I have a 2010 Roadie and it shook to beat hell. I took it to the stealership several times and they said "the motor company's response to the issue is don't take your hands off the handlebars". Then, after experimenting with a bunch of rental bikes the Svc Mngr told me Harley says "turn the front tire around and ride against the tread
". How stupid is that? But this week I took the bike in for it's 5,000 mile check-up and once again asked that they look into the wobble. Now the bike rides like it should. No wobble, no shimmy and no heavy front-end steering. They wouldn't tell me exactly what they did but said their best techie worked on it and gave it several test rides. I think the reason they don't want to tell me is because of the inter-dealership competition. But I don't really care what they did, it rides great at all speeds now. All it takes is a good tech who is willing to get past the oil change mentality.
