Default HID issue

I just bought a hid kit from tophidkits and I installed it last night. The low beams are fantanstic white and very bright. But the highs are yellow and less bright than the lows any ideas. I did 't use the optional relay

There should be only one bulb and for a better word, the " metal cover" moves back and forth over the bulb to create the high/low beam. That's the way my HID light works. The color of the light should remain the same if your set up is like mine, just the pattern should change.

Oscarg, you might have gotten the hologen hi beam instead of the true bi-xenon which is why the color is yellow. Check to see if you have the metal cover which moves to create the hi beam effect or if you just have a stand alone hologen under the hid bulb. You have the better set up because if the low blows out you still have the hi beam to get home. If the low blows out on the true xenons you are **** out of luck because they are 1 unit for hi and lo.

It is HID on high beams it's pure white and very very bright. It's just the low beams do they make combo hid on one beam and xenon on the other. I keep trying to get a hol of tophidkits but they don't awnser there phone

Most of the kits are not HID for both high & low beam - pay close attention when choosing the kit... all are not created equal.

The kit I bought is HID on both.

Oscarg, the kits that they sell are the ones that I described. They are not totally xenon. The lo beam is xenon and the hi is hologen whcih is the reason for the yellowish light. To me you are better off with this bulb because as I stated before, if the light goes out you still have hi beam. Good luck. If you don't like it dropp me a pm.
