Sounds to me like they flashed the ECM with stock exhaust suckering you in on a exhaust and a tune. I say suckering but not really they probally told you what you needed but you chose to go with the big cube and cam thinking all the other stuff ( exhaust/tune) can wait. If you had pipes, air cleaner, and a PCV or Sest to go along with this build would have been a big boost. I think you chose to save a few bucks skimping on a few items.

Update us though, cause if you didn't upgrade pipes, Air Cleaner, and tune you are out at least another 1k for the dealer to make it right. And at the same time the didn't do anything wrong other than refusing to do a build that would not work in the first place. Money talks, go figure...

Lets help this guy out. Please post your entire parts list, bill of sale, or whatever the dealer gave you. Tell us more about the header pipes - are they stock or aftermarket? More on the mufflers please. Did you put the SE's on yet? Are you the original owner of the bike?

You will get a bunch of suggestions and varying opinions, but everyone here will try and help you if you post more detail. Most of us here are trying to help. And don't worry, you can trust us. Everyone is an expert here!

Take it somewhere else or back and have it reflashed and retuned. I just did all my own work installing cams, exhaust, breather, and SEST. Took it to local dealer to have it tuned and they burned up my new exhaust. They loaded a calibration it didn't completely take and it was missing spark and popping on decel. Ran like crap to say the least. They tried tuning it that way and it blued my mufflers. They reflashed the ecm with a stage 1 it ran ok. They reinstalled tuner and cal for tuning. Ran fine and completed the tune. I know in the manual that came with the tuner it states somewhere you may have to install the calibration twice to get the complete program loaded. Any way it was their bad, so they are buying another set of mufflers. They will be eating a some cost on that deal, but at least they acknowledge they messed up and are willing to fix it. Good luck.

Here is a response I made to "tooth" on a private message. I did not post his remarks to me. He may do so if he wants.

My remarks about the dealers was not directed to you. It was to those that always bash the "Stealers" whenever someone talks about using them to do the work.

Now, I apologise since you have stuck to your guns and are truely in a bad spot. It is very hard to tell if it is a troll or a new honest post. When you give very vauge info and start talking about not being happy with the power, it is a very good signal that it is someone just trying to start crap.

As stated above, you need to give more details on exactly what you asked for from the dealer, what they recomended and what they did. Once all the info is posted, someone will be glad to give you some guidence.

And be sure to get a thick skin around here because there is always someone on here, including me that may jump the gun sometimes.

Please accept my apologee.

When I changed to the 50MM Throttle body, and SE Injectors mine opened up. I went from 89 HP to 103. My TQ line is almost identical at 109 though. The stock injectors were at 90-95% load before I changed them out. Same place did the before and after tunes, so evidently it was starved for fuel and air.

Asking 500 clams for an inner-bearing tool is obscene. Gary Beatty makes an excellent puller-installer for <$100. You can read about it here (may require registration to read). You can contact him here. Ask him if he will rent the tool instead of selling it.

To the OP Get your bike tuned by someone that know what the hell they are doing. It's probably not the build at all. you stated that it back fired out the exhaust. It sounds like a bad tune to me.
