Went by installer shop yesterday to snap a few pictures. Told me he would finish Saturday but after I left he put the pedal to the metal and finish last night however he ran into 1 issue. The speakers in the fairing are too big and won't fit. I have a resolution but need help. The speakers have a spacer which can be removed, but then the tweeter hits the grill. I need a grill that curves out 1/2 an inch but will still install from the inside. I know someone has something out there. Here are pictures when I first arrived.
You could try the local hardware store and buy metal screening and bend it to what you need, trim it and install. After all that is what some grills are made of.
Oh yeah I don't want to charge fairing speakers either. I carefully sellect all my components. The installer told me, he has never heard a bike sound this good (including his). I did do a test fit of all my components but I didn't use the dang spacer.
try shaving down the spacer, or like mentioned hand form some flexible screening??? isn't customizing fun? 1st your problems with topshop bags not fitting right, now this.

This isn't a major issue at all. I thought any car audio place would have these mesh grills but I see they don't. A hardware store told me run a thick but bendable wire in front of the speaker but behind the screen. Bow it out slightly and the mesh grill would rest on the wire and not the speaker. I think we are going to try a custom spacer 1st.
