Default D402 With 30k Miles/E3's Better???

I just turned 30,000 miles on my original front tire on a 2008 Ultra. It's the D402 and while I hear great things on this forum about the E3, I find it hard to imagine I could do better than the D402 has done. I got 20,000 miles out of the rear D402. Any comments on whether the E3 can possibly do better than this tire?

I've got about 10K on my E3's and they both great. Don't know if I'll get 20K on the rear but I can tell you I'm more comfortable going over tar snakes, grooved highways and painted lines; they track much better.

The E3's will last just as long if not more and "do better" in every other catagory. Tracking over uneven surfaces being the most common improvement stated.

I got about 12K on my rear 402 and currently have about 18K on the front 402.
Not sure if I will get 30K but should get 25.
I doubt you'll do better than what your getting but I believe the E3 to be a better handling tire, especially over tar snakes.

Finally someone besides me who gets good milage out of a 402! I got 21,500 mi. from my orignal rear got 21,200 out of my second. I have over 45,000 on my 08 FLHT and still have near half thread on my orignal front. Some people on this forum don't buy it, But it don't make a rats *** to me. I know it's true.

DAMN what the hell? I only get about 8-10 thousand out of a rear tire and 15-20 thousand out of a front tire. I am a bit aggressive on the bike.

It's all about riding habits and style. Along with road conditions and how often you make sure the air pressure is up. What some consider normal riding is considered aggressive riding to others.

I must say. In 40 years of riding I've never heard of a motorcycle tire getting 30,000 miles.

I might switch given the good comments on the handling of the E3. Is it OK to use the E3 on the front and D402 on the read until it dies in another 10,000 miles at which point an E3 on the rear, too?

I'm sure it's ok to mix the two tires, they are both bias ply. I just installed an E3 on the rear of my 08 UC. I'm still running the 402 on the front. Rode 200 miles today two up. I think the secret to getting good mileage is keep your air pressure up and take it easy.

I only read a couple posts but some of you must ride your bikes like my Grandma would. No offense intended and I can understand 20K on a front but a rear? Oh, I get it. You jack up the rear end and hit cruise control for a few days...

I should elaborate. I was lucky to get 5K out of a 402 on the rear. Just got a few hundred miles on my E3's and hoping for much better mileage but the handling is awesome. I understand they are also very good in the rain but have not had the pleasure yet. Most of my riding is on twisties.
