Default Need help with radio controls please.

Hi Guy's
I have an 09 Electra Glide Standard that I put a Biketronics radio kit into about 8 months ago. I went with the Sony Marine radio. Everything has been fine with it & no problems with the hand controls working everything. I put the bike up in December because I was going to be working out of town for a few months. I took the battery out & stored it in a nice warm place. I got back in town last week & decided to get the bike out for a ride today. Put the battery in & she fired right up. Everything is working fine but the handle bar controls for the radio are not working. The radio works fine when you use the controls on the radio & my turn signals & horn & all are working fine just the handle bar controls for the radio not doing anything. Is there a fuse for them? If anyone has any ideals please let me know. I did a search but did not come up with anything.

Thanks in advance guy's.

Call Biketronics and ask them for suggested solutions.

In the meantime, there is probably a reset switch behind the faceplate that you can press per the radio's instructions to see if that helps. Sony's instructions are available on line at Sony's website.

Check to make sure you connected all the wires to the battery when you re-installed it. I missed one once. It was hiding from me.

Thanks guy's.
I e-mailed Bill at Biketronics & he said to just pull the neg. battery cable for aboat 5 minutes & then connect it back & that should reset some module. I am going to give that a shot in the morning & will also look to make sure I did not miss hooking something up & check for any reset button just to cover all my bases.

Thanks again.

May be a setting in the Sony's setup that turns the external controls on or off?

Hi Guy's
Bill at Biketronics was right. I pulled the battery cable, gave it 5 minutes or so & then hooked everything back up & the handle bar controlls work fine now. Thanks for all of your suggestions. Never would have thought about pulling the battery cable to let something reset but it worked.

Time to go for a ride!!!
