Default Electrical snafu?

Hey guys, just put new wild 1's 503's on my 09 RKC, internal wires and all. So I put everything back together, power up and my left turn signal starts blinking. I try and shut if off but its acting a little goofy. I turn on the right signal and she goes on, shutting the left one off. I hit it again to turn off but the hazards come on. I'm like WTF?
So I break everything down, bust out the manual, and check the wiring. Everything is 100% correct at the connectors. So I then go to the housing on the left side, take apart to check the signal switch, take her out off the housing and check. Guess what, she works perfect, even powering the bike on and off. I put her back in, seat her, and power the bike, she starts blinking.
After all this, from the housing, without touching the signal switch, I can turn the signal on and off by pressing the bracket to seat her in the housing. If I pull her up a bit, the signal works properly again. I'm thinking maybe a grounding problem? Any ideas? When I wired the bars I was more than careful running the wires and also checked the connectors for proper wiring. All is correct but this. I'm stuck, help!! lol!!

It happened to me on a friends bike.
Seems when I pulled the housing off I stretched the wire a bit where they connect to the switch,
it pulled the wires casing back leaving just a little exposed and everytime I tighten the Switch down it would go Goofy.
Take off the switch it worked fine.
put the switches back on the bars and tighten down they'd go Goofy again.
Had to use some electrical tape between the two wires (where there soldered) and over the top of them to keep the wires from touching each other and the bar.

Hope that helps.

Thanx a lot for the info, I do have experience working with electrical just never on a vehicle. I figured something was exposed and touching. I'm gonna check the wires out, let you know what happens!
