Bought my new (to me) 07 Road King Classic off eBay a few weeks ago and of course, started the mods...
First up was to order a new solo seat. Decided on the Corbin Solo Classic with the chrome seat rail. While that was enroute I ordered a Motherwell Fender rack.
Seat gave me a few fits trying to get it on, but once I figured it out, fits like a champ. Its firm, but comfortable. And I really dig the look of the seat! Going for that nostalgic kinda look.
Next up, knock that licence plate mount off and relocate...bag rails...front fender rail...

Congrats on the new RK - I just bought my first HD, a 2000 RK last week and have started the list of mods too - as loaded as it is, i guess it never ends trying to make it your own.....enjoy!
As far as I know theyre stock bars. Theyre more 'beach bar-ish' than ape-ish. Which is a departure for me since my Street Bob has 16 inch apes on it. Comfortable tho.
Hey, congratulations. You can't go wrong with a RK. It's a very versitile bike, you can run with or without a windshield, or even add a detachable fairing later for a third look. Great for touring, for communing, and with the bags, great for running errands.
That bike looks great. I like the color combo. Are you going to keep it as a solo? If so, let me know if you want to part with the passenger floorboards. I'm looking for a pair and will offer you a fair price.

Very Nice! What did you have in mind for the plate mount (relocating)?
Thanks,
Rod

A great looking seat. I had a Corbin on my previous (non HD) bike, and loved it. I live a couple of hours away from the Corbin seat manufacture. They offer ride-ins for a custom fit - their off the shelf seats are also great. Enjoy the new bike ... ... ride safe
Hot - Probably going to go with the Kury plate that attaches to the signal bar and places the LP between the sig bar and the fender tip. Looks to be the cleanest option.
