be mindful that the Motherwell rack, because the rear bolts to the fender, will leave a rub mark on the fender so you'll want to always have the rack or the 2-up seat on the bike to cover the rub.
Ya, good tip. The rack has a foam pad on the mounting tab, but Im sure that wont protect me long. Fortunately the fender is 'pre-disastered' cuz the 2-up seat gave it a few hickies.
Probably run it solo since the girlie has her own bike.
You can always slap a fender bib on there to cover the hickeys. If you put the 2-up seat on fold an all cotton wash cloth under it to protect the fender. I ride 98% solo so I try to keep the fender clean.
Good looking King, I dig the colors. Moving the license plate lower helps the look of the bike tremendously. Consider making the turn signals running/brake lights as well when you do it, a simple plugging.
I'd love to have seat rails but I run a Danny Gray solo and none of the rails I've looked at work with the seat so I may have to design my own and get it made.
Grats on the new RK. I just grabbed the 2010 Vivid black back in OCT. My first mod was to get the Mustang solo seat and am also looking to relocate the plate. Anyone know who if anyone makes a seat rail for the mustang solo 15" seat? I was also looking for a replacement for the original mount screw for the OEM 2up seat. I am trying to stay away from the bib option and would like a new bolt/stud/hole cover that keeps the clean line and look of the finder and stays away from the addition of plastic. Any suggestions?
