I'm married (no girlfriends) and my wife has absolutely NO (as in none, zero) interest in motorcycles. What are good, comfortable single seat recommendations for a FXD? Honestly, I like the look of a single seat as well. Plan to add a nice luggage rack to protect the fender as well.
Thanks (especially bessee) I almost bought a corbin seat for a Yamaha years ago. Haven't been in a position to customize a bike since I'd forgotten the name.
It all comes down to what kind of riding you are going to do, touring or around town.
Le Pera Bare Bones with biker gel IMHO. Also just saw that Mustang has a new solo set called the Run Around. I've had Corbin saddles in the past, that after broke in ride nice. Also check out Sick Saddles a sponsor on the forum. If you can test ride the seat, once you narrow down what you want. Happy Hunting!
Corbin makes a good seat . . . . BUT they are a horrible company to deal with if they didn't get it right on first try or if you have issues. I have been a Corbin customer for many years . . never again. I now have a Corbin Hollywood Solo that took them over 5 months and three different seats to get right. Not to mention all the BS I went through dealing with them! Not worth it in my opinion when there are people making great seats with no drama. Some people have no issues with them (they are lucky). Better Business Bureau gives them a 'D' and an 'F' rating for a reason, so keep this in mind IF you consider them. I wish I had listened when someone here warned me that they were far from the company they used to be.

I like the badlander on my '03 (not a solo but I love the look). Only downside is after about 150 miles or so my *** goes numb so I end up switching back to the big ugly stock seat for longer rides because its much more comfortable.
