So the other day i'm on Ebay just goofing off. I came across a seat from a 02 with no bids so for fun i thew $10.00 in. Went back today and found that i won. It going to set me back the $10.00 plus $34.89 for shipping i think i still got a good deal.
Yea, I spend quite a bit of time on ebay just looking, most of the time it doesn't cost me anything... but sometimes it does! LOL
For instance, I am waiting on a cover for my bike, it may be crap, it may be ok. BRAND NEW,, won it for 80cents! And 17.00 shipping. I will post my opinion of it when it shows up..... I know it is from China,,which sucks.... we'll see what it looks like.
my ol calls me an e-bay junkie was on last week found stock pipes to pass delaware inspection found a set less than 500 miles on them 25.00 no shipping
the guy ended up liven across town from me great deal
I had a Solo seat on my watch list I had forgot about till today. It was a Corbin with some small imperfections on the bottom. It was 9.95 with BIN of 30.00. It had been on 7 freakin days with no bid so I bid 15.00 thinking cool I can try it with no big money loss if I didnt like it. I went to the damn movies and when the movies were over someone had bid 22.00 on it and it had ended. I was so mad I almost threw my phone. Ebay really hacks me off sometimes. LOL

I have been hammered more than once by last minute bids. I was watching something, can't remember since there are so many that catch my eye, and was high bid with 5 minutes to go. Still had plenty of room on my maximum bid to watch it disappear right under my nose. I try to calm myself by thinking somethign will come up again that I need more. I have picked up a few decent deals on ebay, but I use it a lot just for finding new things and part numbers.

I've got lots of good deals on ebay, but the only way to get a really good deal is to bid in the last minute. Never show your hand early.
And recognize a good deal when it comes along. You could have had a corbin solo for 30 bucks, but you wanted to get it for half that. There's lots of guys like me that never bid until the very last possible moment.
You guys should look into the various eBay bid sniper programs. A friend of mine uses one and gets some killer deals.
You set the max you will go and what increments you want to go in, and it will watch the bids and do its damndest to see that you get it. He still loses a bid from time to time, but nowhere even close to what he used to.

I am going to have to pass on the bid sniper. While it sounds like a great idea, I am afraid my wife would run me out of the house if I actually started winning the things I am bidding on.
