Thanks DZLDR, I've been wanting to do this mod for a while and saw your post as I'm finishing up the mini apes install. Very convenient as I had the nacelle open, and seems to work exactly as described. Appreciate it!

Please post a link if you ever find the thread as this is how I prefer to set it up also. Don't have an aux switch in my fairing cap and would rather wire it up without having to go get another switch.

I am also very interested in this method and will do it when more information is available. In other words, I am waiting too.....

my 07 always ON never burned any wires or fuses in 3yrs this month, cagers can see you better now have less people pulling out in front of me. There is a black and orange wire not connected below the headlight behind the fairing orange is always hot. peel back the plastic wire wrap cut a few zip ties find where the passing lamp wires are. cut the yellow wire its looks like a y splice this is where the pwr on low beams feeds the lamps. tape off that end spilce the orange always hot to the other. the spot switch will cut them on and off if needed just another way. There is another post covering this method somewhere
