I just bought a set of 14" Wild Ones, prewired with all chrome controls, etc. for my '01 Road King. I snagged all of my cables from Dr. V-Twin here on the forums. I have the service manual handy and already removed the old bars and headlight.
Before I remove all of the old cables and nacelle and start installing the new, are there any tips or things I should watch out for? Everything seems pretty straightforward but it's always nice to check with someone else who has experience.
I'm just finishing up a similar install and one thing that helps is to take pictures of how the cables are routed before you remove the old. Sometimes the memory plays little tricks, (at least mine does) especially if the job gets delayed or can't be completed until the following weekend, etc. Also, when connecting to the deutsch connectors in the nacelle for the wiring, a small jeweler's screwdriver or similar works just fine to set the wire terminals free from the connector. No need to spend more money on any special tools. Another thing that you might consider is investing in a set of Speed Bleeders for your front brake calipers, assuming your brake line will be lengthened. Makes it a lot easier to bleed the brakes by yourself, for this install and in the future. Take your time and Good Luck!
Here are a couple of sites that helped me though it. Between these sites the manual and Pm on this site I finished the job. Although not everything pertains to you you will get the idea.

This is awesome! Good advice about the pics too. I've started taking "before" pictures of almost everything I do. This job is definitely on of those types because I won't be able to pick up where I left off until the weekend. I'll do the wiring for now but I can't actually mount the bars until my one piece handlebar clamp comes in.
For your brake lines, as mentioned on here in other forums, go to Harbor Freight and buy the 1 man brake bleed kit.....Will be the best $5 you ever spent...It sure was for me. Was done in about 15 minutes!!!!
