Great input pal, but if you have talked to paul on the phone, he has a "I dont give a sh*t attitude" about the situation. I for one have been waiting going on 3 months, when i was PROMISED my bars the first week of Feb! My build is DONE and my bike is sitting on the lift with plus 6 cables, so I can not tven put my factory bars back on to get the bike tuned. These bars are holding me up, because I was PROMISED! I have resceduled my Dyno tune twice already, because they keep changing my delivery date. If you say youre going to get something done and delivered, then do it. I want a quality produce to, but 3 months is more than enough time i think!
+1 on the ideal clearglide. Ideal makes electrical products for industrial uses. We use their stuff all the time at work. It dries up and does not harm anything. Makes your pull thru very easy.
the indy I ordered through made the promise after calling paul directly and asking him for a definite delivery date...now paul says "oh well, if he dosent like it tell him to cancel, someone else will buy them" awesome business attitude. If the bars werent so cool looking, id tell him where to put them!
I ordered mine straight from Paul and got them three weeks later, sorry to hear about your issues but i tell you what, when you get them it'll have been worth the wait. as long as those bars stick around I'll put them on every bike.
Whitegold, I have talked to Paul directly on several occasions due to my issues with the bars... and I have a hard time hearing him saying this, although I would assume that he is right, its not at all the right thing to say! All I can tell you is SAY NO TO CUSTOM CHROME!!! They were the ones that screwed me and I will never spend a dime with them! Hopefully you will receive your bars soon, when I last checked in with Paul I asked about my bars and he said that he had 200+ sets ready to ship this week, so maybe just maybe your set is in that group!
I've read other posts where folks have said that Paul was very amicable. I guess everyone has a bad day every now and again. Stick at it WGSG because as you've mentioned they are very cool looking and at the end of the day/month/year you will get them. I look forward to seeing your photos of the bike.
Thanks for the tip of the Clearglide PhatTerry. I've never wired bars before and from what everyone says I've chosen the most difficult bars to start with!!
